I have had my new IPod for about 3 weeks and here are some thoughts. First and foremost it sounds great and there has been absolutely no skipping. The main things I have observed so far is the requirement for a case as soon as possible. The front is a white plastic which seems to be very soft and scratches or gouges quite easiy. The back is shiny metal, probably aluminum and as such does not take well to fingerprints etc… So a case is a must to protect your new investment.

Having said that it is nearly impossible to find a suitable case for the new 3rd Generation IPods. I have been told that they are in such high demand it is hard to find them and when they do come in they fly off the shelves.

So far after 3 weeks I have throughly enjoyed my new IPod and I have only put on 1000 songs so far.

Well I am back home from my Eastern Junket which included such exotic locales as Ottawa, Belleville, Toronto and lets not forget the favourite Petawawa. More Pictures will be posted as soon as I finish my Laundry. The never ending battle.

I had a Great time and the flights from Ottawa were great, Westjet is a superb airline and made the flight really enjoyable. The flight attendants are friendly and make you feel welcome. I think the other Canadian Airline needs to sit up and take notice. Get rid of their cardboard cutouts you call flight attendants and get some real people. Westjet respects their customers and they have a new loyal customer right here. Keep up the Great job Westjet!

Well I spent the weekend in Southern Ontario visiting my friend Ja Mac in Belleville. We went to Toronto on Saturday and visited The Holiest of all Shrines, The Hockey Hall of Fame. And man does it have some pretty cool stuff.

Afterwards we took in a Blue Jays game and watched the Blue Jays get pummeled by the Oakland A’s. The game was enjoyable and the ’sites’ were great. Got to see a lot of the Blue Jays Alumni as this was Alumni Weekend.

Back in Petawawa for a few more days then it will be back to the grind starting next week. I will put up pictures from the last few days as soon as I can. So stay tuned. Heading out camping for a few more days.

Well it is now 1 week later and still we are feeling the effects of the blackout. Most stores are only using some of there lights and I think Air Conditioning is at a premium. The government offices are closing at noon each day…not that the government workers seem to mind. It is amazing how much we depend on power for our everyday lives and the impact of losing said power. A lot of people are concerned in Ottawa and Toronto about rolling blackouts and wondering how long this will go on.

Well turn down your Air Conditioners and shut off some lights and maybe things will improve soon.

I have uploaded some more pictures into the gallery from my trip. We visited the Colonge Rapids and saw how pine logs were moved down river past the rapids, pretty cool how the logs are moved down a slide. Also the area is really quite beautiful.

As for the Gargoyle….well there is a story behind those pictures. The Gargoyle belongs to a neighbor of my brother’s and this neighbor loves Gargyles so we decided to have some fun. And Email the results to the owner.

On The Road Again Day 5 We spent a leisurely day just checking out the local sites and getting climatized to the high humidity, it has not been so bad so far! My brother took me for a ride on his 1977 Harley Davidson FLH, a really beautiful bike ( I will put up a picture soon) Heading out to the Grand Province today - Quebec to see some of the sites.

Well here I am in Sunny Petawawa Ontario, just back from2 days camping at Lake Dore. Nice lake and lots of nice ’sites’ to view. The trip out was good and I must say that the Westjet crews are extremely friendly. It appears upon careful observation that most of the Flight Attendants are young and very friendly. Makes for a pleasant flight. Next on the agenda is checking the Grand Metropolis of Pembroke and seeing what is there. Should take about 10 minutes I am told.

I just got myself a new Toy… a Brand new 3rd Generation IPod. This is one slick machine. It has a 10 Gig harddrive and will work on either a Mac or Windows machine. You can up load music using Musicmatch Jukebox and I have found a few other pieces of Software which I am checking out. I will update and review once I have used it for a few weeks.
