Close Encounter
May 18, 2006 | Category: Personal, Random Thoughts
I was out for a drive the other day on Vedder Rd which is the busiest street and main throughfare in my area. Vedder Road is 4 lanes with houses and some park areas along the length. I was in the middle lane with a van close behind me when I noticed something or I should say things in the right lane. I slowed down and a group (gaggle) of ducks, a mother and 5 ducklings had decided to go for a walk across Vedder Road. So I flashed my brake lights multiple times and proceeded to stop, Once I came to a stop the ducks turned around. I waited till they were off the road and proceeded. The van behind me then passed me on the right and as they passed me the driver, a woman gave me a dirty look and said some pretty rude things about me. My lip reading skills are a little rusty but the words were mouthed obviously for my benefit. Then they roared off and almost ran into another car. As I continued up the road I noticed the van at the next set of lights and as I pulled up beside I looked at the driver and she again started to vocalize probably at me. As the light turned green she sped up and again almost hit another vehicle.
Someone with that much anger should not be driving a vehicle. All this because I did not want to run over a family of ducks. Stupid People!
