Thanks Rachel I really appreciate the positive comments and I will keep writing as you say it is therapy and we all do need an outlet.

I was not fully thinking it through but listening to you and reading your postings about your dog made me remember why I decided to have a blog in the first place. It is a form of therapy as I tend to spend a lot of time alone and do not really have anyone to talk to, I use my blog to talk to people.

So Dr. Rachel and to my friend Jim thanks for giving me the Swift Kick in the Ass I needed (and sometimes need every once in a while.)

Well I have had my blog for a couple years now and it was not until about five months ago that I had any readers besides friends and family. However, sitting down and making myself write in a blog all the time really really really changed my writing for the better even though no one was reading it. It was also kind of my form of therapy.

Also, my blog is also very positive because I know what you mean that people hate reading "bad" feeling stuff. But with recent events in my life, I had to post all that bad stuff or I would have gone crazy and I got even more of a response from that (about my dog)

My advice is to keep writing. Even when you feel bad write. When you feel good, write. If things you don't want people to know about come up, then just be vague (I always keep my romantic life private). There are always valleys AND hills in life so feel free to write about both,

Well, just promise that once things start looking up you'll post about how good you feel. Everyone has periods of lows and highs and I'm sure someone will clue in soon that you're a prize catch (employment or otherwise).

I've found that even though almost nobody reads my blog it's nice to get some things off my chest, even if it's just boring stuff. A blog is a combination of journal and sounding board, and occasionally discussion group. You just have to not neglect it so long that people stop reading it, which is easy to do when life's "same old same old".
