Fall brings a lot of change to both the weather and television. I am pretty selective with what I will watch and yes I will check out some new shows but mostly I will stick to what is tried and true. It seems to take a lot to get me to change, although I will take recommendations from friends and give a show a try.
One show that I particularly enjoy is Prison Break with the multiple characters and story lines it makes for an interesting show to watch, especially the underlying conspiracy. Another show in the same vein is Lost which even though it goes in some odd directions still makes it interesting with the twists and the idea that their maybe a conspiracy of some sort. Some of the new shows, well new to me at least are My Name is Earl which is hilarious as well as brilliant and Grey’s Anatomy which I find interesting especially with the hottie Katherine Heigl. I guess I can also admit I am into Desperate Housewives and while I find this show something of a soap opera it has a deviant slant to the writing. Showing how nasty people, especially women can be is very entertaining, the old saying about a woman scorned is soo true. One show I do not get a chance to watch during it’s weekly run is Corner Gas (it is on opposite Prison Break) which I found to be a great comedy with a lot of quirky characters reminds me of another Canadian show which I thought was so brilliantly written, Due South. Due South was originally written by Paul Haggis.
The best show currently on TV is Battlestar Galactica which surpasses anything else on TV with excellent writing and great characters. Each episode is well put together and leaves one desperate for the next episode. While I truly enjoy a few shows I must admit I cannot get enough of Battlestar Galactica. Just my humble opinion.
