Lately I Have Been Sad

Over the past 8-10 weeks I have become increasing sad as my main outlet for entertainment has been having problems. My TV has been having some problems which have been getting progressively worse. When I first turn on the TV the picture is distorted and wavy and takes about 10 minutes to come into focus. Then sporadically the picture becomes wavy while watching regular TV signals. Some channels are better than others and it can be especially bad when their is a lot of white on the screen. The problem has been getting progressively worse since it started a few months ago. The odd thing is I can watch a DVD and the picture is perfect for any DVD I have played. Since this is the case I have changed out all the cables and tried different configurations to see if it was possibly bad cables or some other issue. No matter what changes I make the issues persist and continue to worsen.

I have done some research online and believe it is a Convergence issue and possibly some component needs replacing. This is slowly driving me mad and I wish I knew someone who would look at my TV without charging me an arm and leg. To just call a technician would be expensive and there is no way to assure they will not try and rip me off. Also I know to get a technician to look at the TV will cost money I do not really have to spend at the moment. This just sucks!

Anyone know any Toshiba repair guys that they can recommend in the Lower Mainland? Hopefully I can find someone before it causes me to go completely loony.
