Hit the Ground Running

We Made It! The flight was delayed 2 hours but we made to London and had a full day on Sunday. With visits to the Tower of London, with some very interesting instruments of torture and a very informative visit to the HMS Belfast a WW2 Cruiser which saw action in the Korea Campaign as well. After a tradional Fish and Chip lunch it was off to Big Ben and the London Eye. We walked from Westminister to Picadilly Circus and took in all the incredible sites. Having a great time, today is the Changing of the Gurad at Buckingham Palace and Westminister Abbey and a visit to Harrods. More to come!

  1. It sounds like you are packing a lot in and seeing some great highlights! Can’t wait to hear more about the trip. Angela.

  2. Wonderful to hear your news, you two! D — didn’t I tell you all that walking would result in looser pants?! ;) We’re definitely going to have to weigh you two when you get back — LOL! Soooo excited to hear of your many adventures, and only mere days into the trip. We had a sunny and warm Saturday here — the evening was just like summer! Hope you are having good weather, too. Look forward to more posts! (And, yes, I’m working hard, as long as your having fun — that’s our deal!)

  3. Glad to hear you’ve arrived safely and are enjoying so many sights – how were the fist and chips? Hopefully you return to Spring weather, it’s definitely warming up here at present. Tara is settling in, finally ate some real food yesterday, loves being outside puttering around in the sunshine and watching Bernie work in the yard. Keep the postings coming, enjoy following your travels.
