Close friends contribute to our personal growth. They also contribute to our personal pleasure, making the music sound sweeter, the wine taste richer, the laughter ring louder because they are there.
Judith Viorst
Age appears best in four things: old wood to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read.
Francis Bacon
Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.

Your Lightsaber is Blue
Blue is often associated with depth and stability.
It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom,
confidence, and truth.

I was looking forward to this movie as I thought it had the potential to be a good story with good actors, a good director and an interesting idea. The story had a lot of turns that made no sense to me and had me wondering what was supposed to be happening. It almost seemed at times that the movie was a series of random scenes that were edited together with the scenes out of sequence. I even noticed that some of the dialogue did not always make sense.
With the level of actors in this movie it is too bad the script was so bad. The climax was anti-climatic and really did not make sense. The twists were sprinkled throughout and most did not work with the story.
Poor script and poor directing make this a disappointing movie.
Arghh gives The Interpreter a 1 out of 5. Wait till it shows up on late night television.
Middle of Road Traveler
You’re the Zen Traveler. You know that there’s a balance to everything–too cheap a budget could cause a lot of problems but that too much will sever your ties with the locals. You also know that you can’t do everything yourself! We’ll give you suggestions on great places to see, but all within reason!
You know that everything comes in moderation. Why bother taking dubious transport when you know that there’s an issue with safety? If your life worth saving a few dollars, euros, yuan or pesos? At the same time you know that going in style probably means missing out on meeting with the locals and is usually a waste of money . It’s foolish to sway to extremes—take the middle path.
You also know that as people we need others and we need downtime. You are happy to be supported by a group but also love to take some time to do things by yourself. Why allow all of your time to be taken up by others or by just being by your lonesome. Variety is the spice of life, and you know that you need variety in your schedule. There’s time to have a late night out with your new friends as well as time for sipping ginger tea at an outdoor café while reading a book.

Which Incredibles Character Are You?

I have visited the Driving Range with my new clubs and I am impressed with the difference. I was pleasantly surprised with how well I was striking the ball with the new clubs. The Fairway Wood make it very different when I would use my 3 Iron I now use a 3, 5 or 7 Fairway Wood. very differnt feeling when I hit the ball. Sweet sound when I make contact.
Now I need to have a few practice games to really get comfortable with my new clubs.
Well I finally have taken the time to go and look and find a new set of clubs. I get to retire my old set of Wilson Clubs which I am embarrased to say I bought at a Garage Sale about 5 years ago. Paid about $2o if I remember correctly. They have served me well but I knew the first time I tried my Brother’s clubs and then my friend Joe’s clubs at the driving Range I knew I had to take the plunge.
So I did my research online and asked my friends what they were using then I started the store crawl and played avoid the sales guy until I was ready to buy. I found a couple of sets I liked and finally settled on a Graphite set at Nevada Bob’s. I like the fact you can try before you buy.
I bought a set of Jazz Vantage
A Nice set, we will have to take them out and see if they can help my game. I will keep you updated.
I have been browsing a bunch of Travel web sites lately. I need a vacation just cannot decide where to go. Too many places I want to visit just not sure where I can go or what will meet my fancy. Cuba is interesting, another cruise to the Carribbean would be nice or maybe Fiji or Tahiti. The common thread is all of these places are in the tropics. So I guess I want to goto the sun and enjoy the sun and water.
Not sure where yet but just know I need to start planning a getaway.
Maybe a roadtrip…..Not too sure about work, I know I cannot get a long period of time off so I guess I need to figure out a way to do this short term or make a big decision.
Wish I had more time to explore.
Your wise quote is: “The best antiques are old
friends” by Unknown…
Your buds is the source of your happiness
(maybe not all but still). Even if it’s just
one, a couple or a whole group they are the
ones you can’t wait to see. It does not matter
if you’re shy with everyone else or not, with
them you let your true spirit shine and can be
as loud as you want. They accept you, and you
love them for that.

The weather has changed for the better. This last week we have had sunshine and it has warmed up to the low 20 degree range. I sometimes wish I did not spend so much time inside working. It makes me appreciate the time I do get to spend outside.
Where does the time go, I can’t beleive it is April. I have no idea where the time goes. I think my life is running past me at high speed. Anyone have any idea how to slow down the pace a little? Sometimes I want the world to stop and let me off for a bit.
Everything seems to go at high speed in our world. I sometimes miss the quiet slow pace of my childhood. Lazy summer days, playing ball, going to the ice cream shop for a double scoop. Bicycling to the creek for a cold dip.
Why do we have to grow up. Life was so simple at one time.
I have added some photos to my gallery and updated some of the Albums.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
I spent the Easter weekend at the The Hills Spa and Ranch at 108 Mile House. Nice place and they have some pretty decent deals as it is between the seasons. The snow has melted so it was quite muddy and a little chilly. They have an indoor pool and hot tubs, although the hot tubs were closer to luke warm.
They have all the spa treatments you would expect, I had a massage and pedacure. Never had a pedacure before and it felt really good. It is nice to spoil yourself every so often. On Sunday we went horseback riding and that was enjoyable. It has been a few years since I was last riding. I think I will go riding more often I miss the tranquilty and beauty of nature hat you can expereince when you go riding.
It was a very relaxing weekend and did I mention the pedacure was great!

I have upgraded (with the Help of my Friend Joe) to the newest version of Wordpress. Pretty incredible software and it is Free. Not alot in this world is free and is such a good thing. I am impressed with the versatilty of the software and how easy it is to use. Makes having a Blog a great thing for anyone.
I would highly recommend Wordpress as it is so easy to use and works quite flawlessly.
Thanks Joe!

Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan(Sum of All Fears in case
you don’t know, duh) You’re not exactly the
model of an “ass kicker” but you get
the job done, save the world from going back to
the time of the caveman and managed to have a
picnic with a hot girl…good job!

I am currently reading an interesting book by Gwynne Dyer which is a case study of the attack on Iraq and how it was preordained from the early days of Bush’s Presidency. The key members of Bush’s Cabinet were all part of a ‘Think Tank’ Group in the late 1990’s and this group published a paper calling for the overthrow of Saddam Hussien. The conclusions that the book puts forward while interesting are not necessary rational. The conclusion that the main reason for the invasion of Iraq was to promote American Colonialism and not the giant oil reserves in the region does not make much sense to me.
Also links to Osama bin Laden and terrorism are somewhat vague and Dyer tries to use these links to explain Islamism and how it has impacted American Political thinking. While the book is interesting the conclusions leave a lot of unanswered questions. This would work better as a work of fiction except for the fact that the main characters were poorly developed and lack any sort of personality.
I have no idea where the time has gone. I cannot beleive I have not posted since before I went to San Francisco. I try and find the time and am never sure where it goes. I have to be more disciplined and ensure I am posting more. It is not like I do not have a lot to say as those who know me can attest. So I will start posting again and putting up some of the pictures I have taken since October.
Look for something from me even if it just my ramblings
