My brother and I went to the CFB Petawawa golf course, Twin Rivers and played 9 holes on Sunday August 21st. It was a beautifully sunny day and I was looking forward to trying my new clubs out. It is a pretty nice course with trees and some water hazards. I played pretty well and am starting to get used to my new clubs. I need to really start to practice my swing so I use the club instead of my arms for power. I am starting to get it and just need to practice some more.

I have visited the Driving Range with my new clubs and I am impressed with the difference. I was pleasantly surprised with how well I was striking the ball with the new clubs. The Fairway Wood make it very different when I would use my 3 Iron I now use a 3, 5 or 7 Fairway Wood. very differnt feeling when I hit the ball. Sweet sound when I make contact.
Now I need to have a few practice games to really get comfortable with my new clubs.
Well I finally have taken the time to go and look and find a new set of clubs. I get to retire my old set of Wilson Clubs which I am embarrased to say I bought at a Garage Sale about 5 years ago. Paid about $2o if I remember correctly. They have served me well but I knew the first time I tried my Brother’s clubs and then my friend Joe’s clubs at the driving Range I knew I had to take the plunge.
So I did my research online and asked my friends what they were using then I started the store crawl and played avoid the sales guy until I was ready to buy. I found a couple of sets I liked and finally settled on a Graphite set at Nevada Bob’s. I like the fact you can try before you buy.
I bought a set of Jazz Vantage
A Nice set, we will have to take them out and see if they can help my game. I will keep you updated.
I think after I see a movie I will put my thoughts up here and will grade them on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being crap and 5 being really good. Of course this is just my opinon so don’t shoot the messenger.
Went to see Terminator 3 the other night and I guess it was not that bad. You have to suspend your common sense otherwise you will fail to enjoy the movie due to the huge logic flaws. It is an entertaining movie and it does not scimp on the action, which starts a couple of minutes into the movie and does not really stop. The characters are pretty much what you expect from an Arnie movie with the typical catch phrases none of which really grabbed me. Overall I found it to be decent and entertaining and probably a better watch on the Big Screen than at home.
Arghh gives Terminator 3 a 3.5 as long as you don’t try and analyze the logic.
