I just picked up my Richie braces today, and they seem very bulky, and just like you, they only fit into tennis shoes. I’m going to see if I can get these instead, the dynamic assist seems less bulky than what I got.

Agreed. She was well loved, and had a great life. She will definitely be missed by all who met her. It was a hard decision, but you did good by her.

I’d like to know, if you wouldn’t mind a moment of your time: the Richie brace (and yup my name is really Richie) seems to be working for you, at least as of this past June..I was given a scrip for one today, being fitted tomorrow..could you tell me,will this thing require custom shoes? Are sneakers out? (hope not, I live in them).
Like you, if it helps me to walk without pain I’ll be willing to adapt, but I hope it doesn’t require major changes.

We get snow all the time here in Michigan…I think it snows almost everyday even if just for a moment. I don’t like the aftermath either but fully agree that when it is falling it is truly beautiful!

I wouldn’t throw out any disused items for a year, rather than 6 months, otherwise you’d have to throw out all your Christmas and Hallowe’en decorations annually.
